Not for every application. A lawyer adds most value when the route is not obvious, when your plans combine work, family and property, or when a refusal would derail a move already under way. The first question is always which route fits.

The visitor visa requires a written commitment not to work in France. Remote work for a foreign employer is not expressly provided for, and consulates treat it cautiously. If you plan to keep working, a Talent Passport or another work route is the safer choice.

A long-stay visa lets you enter and live in France, for up to a year, once validated online after arrival. To stay longer, you apply for a residence permit, then renew it or move to a multi-year or ten-year card.

Yes. The spouse and children of a Talent Passport holder can receive a family residence permit of the same length, and the spouse may work in France.

Yes. France allows dual nationality, and so do the United States and the United Kingdom. You would keep both passports.

A refusal is challenged, first before a dedicated commission or the prefecture, then in court. Those steps are litigation, which we refer to a trusted colleague. Most refusals are avoided by choosing the right route and filing a complete file.
